I am a horrible blogger and your just going to have to deal with it!!!!!! ; )

Yes, I know it has been forever!! Christmas in fact!! Well a lot has happened during my winter quarter here at EWU!! First off, the snow fell. And fell. And FELL!!!!!! Over 3 feet in fact. School was cancelled for 3 days in one week. Eastern hasn't closed school since Mt. St. Helen's erupted. Yah it was that bad!! But, we had a blast in it none the less!!

Cari and I's adventure walking to church!! Keep in mind none of this footage was rehearsed!!
Our timing is impeccable!! HAHA

Crazy Elder Torrance!!!

One of the first snow falls! Tree limbs from those trees broke off because the snow was so heavy!!

The SNOW and mom's AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL ski pants!!!

A beautiful snowman! Built by Cari and I. It has no head because we are to short to put one on. That alone was taller than us! YAh, we know, were amazing!!!

Our view while we ate lunch everyday!

Amy and I!! We went ICE SKATING!!
........Along with all the Young Single Adults in the region! HAHA

Morgan came along! This is us being retarded!

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I went home for the weekend!! Ian's brother Eric had his wedding reception, so I went along to keep Ian company and to eat cake!! MMM.. Cake it was great! Here is us being bored and taking pictures!

Take two!! First one....not so good! ;p

The moon on the ride home!! It was a crazy cool sunset!

Well between Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Valentines day, all I did was study, eat (to much by the way!), not work out, go to Moses Lake with Cari for a weekend, and wait for the snow to MELT!! I have been doing extremely well on my bio tests, so I have been feeling pretty good!! I also received a new calling for the Institute! I am now the Latter-Day Saint Student Association President! (LDSSA) It is a club through EWU that is through the Institute! I was a little overwhelmed at the beginning, but it has been a blast! We are planning Mr. Institute (mock pageant!) for April and a Hoagie Eat-A-Thon fund raiser in May for Wishingstar! It has been a really great experience to learn how to plan all of these big events, plus, it will look great on applications!!! HAHA

Cari and I trying to be gangsta driving to Moses!

Cari being crazy!! @ 2 in the morning!! Tampico with ice cream and sprite!

Coming back home to Cheneyville!

Along with all of my classes and Institute stuff, I am also conducting an experiment on frogs for my BIO 270 class! This class is a lot of work for only 3 credits, but it is really cool, because we are actually doing real science!! We had to come up with and design an experiment all on our own!! I am in a group with Chase, (we knew each other from Institute), Lyndsee (from Hawaii), and Danna (from Alaksa). We have a really good group dynamic!! The only thing is, it is pretty much Chase and I doing it, we just let the other girls know what to do and when to do it! HAHA Guess I haven't really learned how to do group work! : )

We ordered 36 frogs!!! There are A LOT!!!!

A frog. He kinda looks like a spider crab mix, but he's not.

So our original experiment was to test a frogs white blood cell counts to see if they would decrease over a certain amount of time exposed to Malathion, a pesticide. Here is the frog I took blood from! We did a heart puncture. Took the blood right from the beating heart, don't worry, we put them to sleep first!! IT WAS THE COOLEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE!!

A frog! We were waiting for him to wake up! Took him over 3 hours to wake up from the medication we gave it. WHOOPS!!

Well on Valentine's day, I got lucky and had a date!! Wade asked me to go with him and two other couples. None of the girls knew what was planned for the night, so we were all surprised when we drove to Cour de' Laine and went to a DRIVE THRU MEXICAN RESTAURANT! We went inside at least!!! HAHA But really, it was amazing!!!

Before we dove in!!!

Wade challenged me to finish my dinner before him!! I almost made it!! None of the other girls even got close!! IT WAS SOOO GOOD!

So once we finished eating, the boys finally filled us in! We were to drive to the lake and then take pictures as a couple to put in frames that we would decorate for each other! It was a great idea, but it was FREEZING!!!! SOO cold!! But, it was really pretty and fun! After that, we headed back to Spokane to Josh's, Wade's good friend's apartment. It was decorated really well!! The guys had checked out a projector from the school library and downloaded an animated screen saver to put on the wall! It was really cool!

The screen saver!

Cute little decorations!

Our frames!! He made the blue one for me and I made the green one for him.

Josh and his girlfriend Kaylie

Our lovely mess!! Mom you would be so proud! I didn't get any on me!!!

My favorite pic of Wade! It shows his hilarious personality!

The coolest pic we took for our frames!

Well that was on Thursday and that Saturday was the PINE WOOD DERBY!! Since I was still considered the unofficial LDSSA prez, I was only put in charge of refreshments, so Wade and I went over around 3:30 to finish our car and to set up. There were a lot of different categories of cars that raced. We raced one in the regulation group and one in the less than 15 minute group!! Hopefully you can guess which car was in which group!!! It was a blast!

Our cars!!! The bus is a splitting image of the Spokane Transit Authority buses!!! AMAZING!!

Look at that spread!! I thought I did a pretty good job at getting the food!!
Josh is hilarious! He was so hungry!!

The elders trying to look all cool with their hemi!!

All of the crazy cars!! The pencil one is pretty cool!!

Crazy cars in action!! And yes, that black truck has HEADLIGHTS!!!

Our car in action against the Beavis and Butthead car!!

Yep thats right!! WE WON the regulation race!! We got second in the 15 min category, a little weight on it and we would've won!!!

Well that's it for now folks!!!

Thanks for spending the hour it took you to read this!! HAHAH

Love,
Chels
