Brian Estey's Wedding

Well last Sunday, we headed off to my cousin Brian's wedding. Grandma Watson, Uncle Rand, Aunt Caroline, Uncle Rick, and Aunt Diana showed up that day at about 12:30 a.m from Menan. We hit the road at about 10 a.m. to drive over to Puyallup. The wedding was to be held in a renovated building called the Liberty. It was very beautiful, and a great location for a wedding. The drive up was a blast. I went up with Uncle Rand and Rick and Aunt Caroline. She and I talked the whole way up. It was pretty hilarious!

The Liberty

The Liberty, again!

When we got into Puyallup, we were pretty hungry, so on the way to The Liberty, we were keeping our eyes open for a place to eat. I spotted Casa Mia right away. It's one of my favorites. They have excellent bread and fettuccine and of course amazing root beer!!! lol We get to The Liberty and dad sees that there is a resturant right next to it, so we walk up to it and there is a group of old ladies in the front. "Looking for a place to eat?" "Are you from around here?" they ask. We respond "Yes" and "No" and then they proceed to talk amongst themselves about the restaurants that we could eat at. The one they were sitting in front of was apparently closed. So we all hint about Casa Mia and they respond with an "oh yah, that will be open. That is an IIItalian place." (pronounced with a strong I) It was pretty humorous! So we all head back into the truck, while mom stays behind to get directions. The old ladies then proceed to bicker amongst themselves about the best way to get there, leaving mom a little confused about where to go. On our way, dad spots a McDonald's and heads into the parking lot. Being in a different car, we were a little confused as to why, so when we get out we realize they want to eat there. It was Uncle Rand and Aunt Caroline's 25 wedding anniversary, so they thought it would be bad luck to eat at the Golden Arches since its the silver anniversary!! They decided to head to Casa Mia instead. Being the rebels we are, Aunt Diana and I chase after them! I of course have my traditional Fettuccine with root beer. The other three shared a calzone. It was a pretty massive calzone! :)

We head back to The Liberty after our lunch so everyone can change before the bridal party left for the park to take pictures. I head in, and of course make a complete fool of myself. I had to go to the el bano, so I head upstairs. Well, it had been a while since I had worn my sketcher brown dress shoes, so I wasn't quite used to the long toe it has. I biffed it walking UP the stairs. It was great. The whole bridal party had been there, cause the bride, Madeline had just walked down the stairs to see Brian for the first time! HAHA yes, a classic Chelsey moment.

The wedding started at 4. At around 3:15 Aunt Caroline, Uncle Rand, and I were getting a little restless, so we headed next door to an antique shop. The place had to have been the crappiest antique shop in the world. We went thru it, and Aunt Caroline must have had at least half the store at her house. Two of the items she had were alone $1,000. The place was a complete rip off, but it was great fun making jokes and seeing how much they could sell all there stuff for at home! Apparently a 1999 Homemakers September magazine is worth $2!!!

We head back in just in time to be seated and await the bride's entrance. The wedding was very beautiful along with Madeline's dress. The ceremony was very sweet and touching. It was great to see them finally married.

Brian patiently waiting...

The Bridesmaids, middle one is Madeline's daughter.

The Groomsman, The young boy is Madeline's son.

The Cute Couple

Following the ceremony was a wonderful reception. They had a delicious sit down dinner. The ham practically melted in your mouth it was so tender! Then there was the toasting, cake cutting, and dancing. I actually got Grandma Watson, Aunt Caroline, Uncle Rand, and Gene out on the dance floor dancing to some 50 cent!! It was the most fun I had had since my party!! It was hilarious! Gene had some great moves, at 80!!!

Gene and I!!! She is AMAZING!!! I LOVE HER!!

Uncle Rick, his smile is so disarming!

The veterans!! :)

Finally a great pic of mom and dad!

The Groom's mom, Aunt Renee, She's wonderful!

Grandma Watson, she can really bust a move!

THE REBELS!!!

Our table, probably the driest one there, was by far the craziest!! We had a blast joking around and eating the skittles on the table!! Uncle Rand got so wild he started asking for "CHider"!!

That cake was to die for!!!

Dancing the night away. Well at least before we have to leave
and drive home for 4 hours!

The Beautiful new family!!!

The whole day was great!! I LOVE weddings! Mom and Aunt Caroline and I have already started planning mine!! lol :) We left the shindig at around 8:30 and proceeded to beat Dad's truck home!!

Yes, I sucumbed to Brandi's pressure!!

Well, today I had my 18th B-day party. It was pretty much amazing! It had been a really long time since all of us, Branden, Ian, Laura, Brittany, Sindhu, Ashley and Tia had been together. Ian and Ashley had to come late around 2:30 and everyone else was coming around 1. Branden came over around 11:30 to help me out with some last minute details, like feeling up the rest of the water balloons I was going to have for the party. I had previously filled about 270 up the nights before and had about 130 left before the party. So when Branden showed up, we realized that we had run out of places to put all of the gazillion balloons I had!!! So, we took a happy road trip to his home, about 10 mins from my home. It was wonderful of course, because Branden is pretty much amazing and we were on a pre-party high, so it was a blast! We grabbed some buckets and then headed off to Tia's to pressure her into coming to the party. She had been at BYU-Provo and had got back a couple days before my party. I didnt realize that she would be in town, so we headed over to persuade her to come. Well she was defenseless against my demanding and harsh charm so she said yes, but she had to finish her grilled tofu and cheese sandwich and would head right over! (shes HILARIOUS!!) We head home, I proceed to fill all the water balloons minus about 40, and then the WATER FIGHT BEGINS!!! It was an amazing blast!! We first played Extreme Water Spoons, a game I had invented while i was showering the day of!! I know, I am amazing like that! Well many wet cards and crushed water balloons later, Sindhu came out the victor in an intense face off with Branden!!!

Yes, they may look special, but they are amazing!!!

Ian, trying to in trance us all with his voodoo magic!!

Both of our faces are priceless!!!

The Group minus branden. For some reason my arms look really muscular!!

At around 2:30 Branden had to head off until 4 to grammasit, so us girls waited it out, and plotted to ambush Ian and Ashley when they showed up. Many tiny, filled buckets later, and some very unnecessary, but non the less very humorous screaming, Ashley and Ian appear soaked and smiling!! It was by far an amazing water fight, one for the books!! After we clean up, we have a wonderful dinner, consisting of a selection of meats and cheeses for hoagie sandwiches, mom's wonderful macaroni salad and banana pineapple slush drink, ranch doritios and funfetti cake mix cookies!! It was delicious after such a long and hard battle. I received a large array of gifts. Sindhu out did her self, she got me a beautiful necklace that I love, and a ferocious stuffed dragon that will make a great addition to my dorm bed. Among many gift cards to my beloved Target, Laura got me some scrub pants (I was soooo excited) and a cute shirt, Ian being the most creative got me a plunger, (kind of a joke since I got him a big pack of Charmin toilet paper for his B-Day) and a large box of Otter Pops!! I LOVE them!!! After being totally stuffed we headed off to the Benton-Franklin County fair. We headed first to the exhibit were my dress was. I was surprised and disappointed to see that i had only received a second premium on it. This dress was a lot more complicated than last year, so I was surprised to see that it had not done as well. We then headed off to see Ian's art. Amazing as usual, but since he entered everything under adult he didn't place except for his sculpture. He received a First Premium for it. We then headed off to the rides!! We went on all the favorites and even hit a little of the extreme ones, well as extreme as you can get at the county fair!! My favorite ride had to have been the swinging ship, we started and ended the night with it!! I even went on the Drop Zone!! I am a little baby when it comes to heights, but it was really fun!!! At around 9:45 we headed off to get some food before we left. I got an amazing, enormous burrito and a mango lemonade. We all then shared a raspberry funnel cake and curly fries!!! With a snowcone previously that night, I felt that I had, had my fill!! :) We caught the 10:30 bus to Kamiakin and then headed home. We sat down stairs and chatted and laughed about random humorous things till everyone left around 12:15. It was by far a great party!! Thanks everyone for making it happen!!
Love, chels
